There Are No More Carbs/Coffee/Bellinis Left in Venice
Back in August, I got back from Stratford-Upon-Avon on a Tuesday night around 9:00pm. The next morning at 7:00am, I was on a plane to Venice. It's the life of a rockstar/someone who doesn't understand how to properly schedule her trips.
It was a great last minute idea brought to me by my school friend Emily. On the way over, we decided to eat and drink every single Italian-cliche thing we could think of. This included, but was not limited to:
> Pizza
> Pasta
> Gnocchi
> Gelato
> Tiramisu
> Bellini
> Espresso
> Prosecco
> Aperitifs
And that was just one meal.***
As I have just finished up my last four masters essays, plus the BEAST (aka my dissertation), I have no more words left in my head. So I apologize in advance for my sad commentary (and lack of imaginative adjectives apparently). Still with me? Ok, here we go:
This happened.
And this.
Aperitifs!.....are kind of disgusting. But look, CHEEZ-DOODLES! |
Obviously this.
I made that whole thing my b*tch |
Naturally.
Proseccccccco |
Original bellini bar, thankyouverymuch |
A bridge. A famous one, I'm assuming.
An old area.
I don't remember the name of this building, so let's just call it Lots O' Balconies.
Obligatory water shots.
NIGHTTIME.
SpOoOoOoOoOky |
A place.
We may have been trespassing here. |
And another place.
More old things.
Fancy Panoramic Shots. Because I'm an artist.
Me and a bridge. (Surprisingly, I didn't fall in).
Gondola Ride: Bucket List #5 - D.O.N.E.
I should work for a travel mag, no? |
Proof that I was actually there. |
So, that was my trip to Venice. Hope you don't mind the long-winded tale. Despite it being grossly hot, it was such a lovely city with DELICIOUS carbohydrates. Special shout out to Emily who found the deal and organized the trip. Thanks girl!
Until next time, CHEERS! (while drinking the most overpriced Bellini ever? Yup. Worth it. YUP.)
Apparently, I only wore one shirt during our 3 days in Venice. Keeping it sexy, per usual Sarah. |
***KIDDING. But it might as well have been. I basically had to roll myself back to the plane.
