Norwich, I love you.

So this entry is super delayed considering I took this trip back in February, but let's just go ahead and blame "school" and "work" for my absence. (We all know it's because I'm busy catching up on the Real Housewives). I visited a place called Norwich and had such a nice weekend wandering around the city. People were so friendly and didn't judge this solo girl when she got so easily excited by a mustard shop (see below). So without further ado, here's my trip in pictures (with color commentary, obviously):

First off, this would be my seat on the train.

Check out that view!

I stayed at a B&B right near the center of town and it was lovely. (I knew I would be traveling alone, so I decided to stay at a place where someone would know if I never came back that night. Always thinking. In hindsight, I think I watch too much CSI).

One of the biggest landmarks in Norwich is the Castle. They redid the inside so it's a huge open space  for kids to come and see the artifacts and play. So naturally I stayed clear of that. (But I swear I do love my friends kids!)

I didn't fall down these!

Another must see in Norwich is their huge outdoor market. Food, clothes, food, music, food-all the good stuff. Obviously, I went straight for the fudge and something called a bacon bap (*AMERICAN ALERT*- this does not involve our kind of crispy, delicious bacon like I had hoped. It's ham. It's a ham sandwich. Still delicious though).

THERE WAS A MUSTARD MUSEUM. IT WAS THE BEST.

The gorgeous Elm Hill (aka let's-go-ahead-and-trip-all-the-way-down-if-your-name-is-Sarah Hill. Damn cobblestones).

The popular independent book store, The Book Hive, that I'm sure my father would love to get lost in for a few days. (My mother would probably encourage this).

The next day I spent walking around the other major landmark, Norwich Cathedral. Everything about the area was gorgeous. (If it wasn't so cold I would've walked more, but about 10 minutes in and I had to go into the church for warmth. Where did my New England blood go?!?).

Along the river, towards the cathedral

Boom.
This is going to be the cover of my novel, Jane Eyre 2

My last stop before heading out of town was at Biddy's Tea Room. My pictures do not do this place justice. It was like Alice in Wonderland had a baby with everything in your grandparents' attic. I could've spent all day here.

This has become one of my all time favorite 'closed' signs. I might get one for my front door to keep annoying people away. (Front doors are only for girl scout cookies and neighbors).

Ending on a little artsy note, my cinegram of the train ride home (I GOT A BETTER SEAT!).

Thanks Norwich for being such a lovely place with great people!
