A Few Things That Are Currently Keeping Me From Jumping Into the Thames

I'm knee deep in it, folks. Need to do: 12,000 word dissertation (!), two 5,000 word essays (!!), one 2,500 word essay (!!!), and one 2,000 word essay (.....sorry I passed out for a second). BASICALLY, I'm close to the end of my rope (see what I did there?!) However, there are a few things that I just can't get enough of at the moment that are making the process a little easier. Amster...Dammit HOW Many Trains Do We Have to Take??

I recently took a trip to Amsterdam with my parents. I know, that sentence in of itself is worthy of a good therapy session, but none of us had been and it seemed like a cool city to go explore in the short time they were across the pond visiting me. (Plus I really wanted to sing  Roxanne by The Police whenever I saw a red light because C'MON. When else can you do that?) The city was beautiful and everyone was super friendly. It was worth the trip just for a visit to the Anne Frank House ( without Justin Bieber, that foolish child ), but we were lucky enough to fit in a few more things before we had to leave. I tried to learn a few Dutch phrases, but per usual everyone spoke perfect English. Something I'm still trying to master. Freelancer (Unemployed) Life

IT'S BEEN THREE YEARS?! God, I'm sorry. I feel like I went out for cigarettes and then just left you guys for the traveling troubadour that I met at an open mic night. Truthfully, I didn't feel like I had anything to write about when I stopped traveling around Europe and having adorable fish out of water experiences. But weirdly, a lot of life still managed to happen here in the good ol' USA (I will not talk politics) and, as I am now currently writing this in a coffee shop, my transition into Basic Brooklyn Hipster is now complete. The biggest change has been in my "career". After having a job in a different field for two years, I am back in the TV world and am currently a freelancer...which is a fancy way of saying I'm unemployed a lot of the time.
