THE FOLLOWING IS BASED ON TRUE EVENTS.

ACT ONE

SCENE 1

INT.  CLASSROOM - AFTERNOON

THE PROFESSOR is talking quietly to her STUDENTS when suddenly A DISHEVELED AND LATE AMERICAN comes busting through the door.

SARAH

I'm so sorry I'm late!

PROFESSOR

That's quite alright.

Sarah tries to quietly take a seat, but manages to make as much noise as humanly possible. The Professor continues to speak despite the obnoxiousness that is exuding from the back of the class.

PROFESSOR

Right, so let's talk about the book you all read for this week. How did you find it?

Sarah, finally seated, looks around at the other students who are silent and throws up her hand. 

SARAH

(with stupid pride)

At the British Library!

Classroom erupts in laughter.

PROFESSOR

(laughing)

No no, I meant how did you find the book? Did you like it?

Sarah opens mouth and inserts foot, but not before saying: 

SARAH

Well once I found it, I thought it was pretty good.

END SCENE.
