The Mayans were off by a few months. Spencer and Heidi are back....at least here in London. For those of you who don't know who they are - sigh - I really don't want to ruin your lives with that information. But you did come to this blog so the least I can do is give you the quick version: they are the worst human personalities to ever grace reality TV. I know what you're thinking, *insert skeptical laugh* "That's a little harsh. They can't be that bad. Stop being so dramatic. Seriously, it's annoying." WELL THEY ARE. Here's a little proof. They gained fame on the US show The Hills ("you know what you did!") and quickly sucked the life out of every magazine, blog, TV Guide reader with their disgusting photo ops and overall presence in life. But then they disappeared and we thought we'd never hear from them again. And if you're in the States, you probably won't!

Because someone went ahead and stupidly hired them to be on the recent season of Big Brother UK and the London audiences HATED them (as they should), which also means that they are everywhere. Oh and there. And here too. Ugh they're just the worst. God save the Queen.

I'm knee deep in it, folks. Need to do: 12,000 word dissertation (!), two 5,000 word essays (!!), one 2,500 word essay (!!!), and one 2,000 word essay (.....sorry I passed out for a second). BASICALLY, I'm close to the end of my rope (see what I did there?!) However, there are a few things that I just can't get enough of at the moment that are making the process a little easier. Guten Tag!

Hello all! Firstly, I just need to say (contractually) that this is the first blog entry written by a MASTERS DEGREE HOLDER. Yes, I somehow managed to fool everyone and get my degree. Ironically, I found out that I had officially passed as I was getting onto my plane to go back home. (Surprised I could actually read anything through all the tears). Anyways, it was good to find out at that moment, not only because the anticipation was killing me, but also so I didn't have to throw myself off the plane, which was my plan if I didn't pass. So yay! Secondly, I'm writing this from a STILL cold New Hampshire, where I've made the act of microwaving a heating pack and hugging it in bed a nightly tradition. Clearly it was time that I revisit some warm pictures from this summer to remind myself that it will get to that temperature again. Someday. (Soon? Please?) London Fashion Week(end)

Last Friday I got to see a place that might actually be my home planet: London Fashion Weekend. (My sister always said I was adopted). It's a three day long event for the fashion lovers and admirers that takes place the weekend after Fashion Week at the Somerset House . There are fashion shows, guest speakers, and most importantly, endless amounts of designer shopping. At discount prices. Which is basically a mating call for a broke, fashion-loving student. I got an early morning ticket and despite the snow and freezing temperatures, I still managed to pull off the sweatpants and put on the one designer dress I own. (Not that it's needed in order to attend, but where else am I going to wear it? The library?)  *Note on this dress: I spent pretty much every day for four months staring at this Twenty8Twelve dress online before finally deciding to buy it...after opening up a credit card and paying it off in installments.
